Salar de Turi

  • Near-surface brine samples assaying up to 590 mg/l lithium. Good chemistry; Li:K ratio 0.06, Mg:Li  ratio 7.8. TEM surveys detected a large high conductivity, shallow NE dipping anomaly  at 150 – 300m below surface. The anomaly covers at least 63 square kilometers in area, is 200 – 300+ m thick and open at depth. The Turi Project is accessible from the city of Calama (60 km to the southwest) via the paved roads 21CH, and B-165 and is close to infrastructure.
